Effect of shear span-to-depth ratio on behavior of sandwich core steel girder with corrugated web

Girders with corrugated steel web are preferred and widely used in recently constructed bridges industrial buildings. Sandwich core girders by adding two plates (skins) to the web. This study aims investigate shear span-to-depth ratio impact on performance of sandwich Three ratios (a/d): 1.0, 1.833 2.5, were examined. The test includes three thickness 30 mm, 60 mm thickness, conventional flat webs. A total nine simply supported subjected a concentrated load fabricated tested up failure. responses examined presented term deflection curves, ultimate load, maximum displacement. Among conclusions drawn this that demonstrate higher capacity than difference was about 20% can be seen at a/d equals 1.0. results also pointed out behavior beams noticeably impacted ratio.
